Neural network and visualization

Gephi is a powerful tool to visualize neural network graphs. For example, you can export your facebook contacts and check the interaction between your contacts, and thus draw your social groups. Grouped with OpenRefine, the management of large database becomes funny.
I'm looking for a tutorial to analyze results given by Scholar Google.
A slightly frightening application has been proposed by the MIT to visualize your own connections and demonstrate how fast anybody having access to your webmail can dig out the important people in your life.
